Zithromax belongs to a class of pharmaceuticals known as macrolide antibacterial treatments, and it is used to treat mild/moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of specific bacteria. Generic Zithromax is frequently used to treat Chlamydia. Azithromycin, an important component of this medicine and a member of the macrolide class of antibiotics, is used. Typically, Zithromax is sold in tablets. Zithromax's whole list of inactive components is shown below, including magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, dibasic calcium phosphate anhydrous, film coat made of hypromellose, sodium croscarmellose, lactose, triacetin, titanium dioxide, and other chemicals. Zithromax's main goal is to eliminate or stop any bacterial growth or development that might lead to an illness. Additionally, because Zithromax belongs to the antibacterial class of drugs, it cannot be used to treat viral infections like colds, the flu, or other respiratory illnesses. Tamiflu (oseltamivir) is an antiviral medication that acts by inhibiting the effects of influenza viruses A and B on the human body. Tamiflu is used to treat flu symptoms caused by the influenza virus in people with symptoms lasting two days or less. Although Tamiflu oral suspension and capsules can be taken with or without food, doing so can enhance the medication's overall tolerability. For adults and adolescents 13 years of age and above, the recommended oral dosage of Tamiflu is 75 mg twice daily (one 75 mg capsule or the equivalent of 12.5 mL of oral suspension twice a day) for a total of 5 days. Tamiflu is often available in the following dosages: 30 mg, 45 mg, and 75 mg capsules. The recommended dose for oral suspension is 6 mg/ml. Twitter I Pinterest I Reddit
