St. Luke's Flea Market Sat 2/18/23 Sebastian Fl.
Barefoot Bay Welcomes Author PattiAnn Bengen

I was a guest speaker at the Tara L Stevens Foundation event at Jesse and Dhonna Goodale's estate tonight. (saturday  8/20/11) where I talked about the threatening and dangerous presence of the sex trafficking trade in the United States. Education and awareness are key in fighting the enslavement of women. The topic was domestic violence as Dhonna Goodale's sister fell victim to a fatal DV episode, and there was a tremendous bonding through the emotion of this event and the continued battled against DV. The raffles were plentiful and the silent auction brought in great results - why I even won the mink collar and cuffs that I had wanted as well as a red mink mini-purse.

I was touched, honored and humbled by the outpouring of comments and emotion that attendees shared with me.  It was quite an evening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AUTHORS NIGHT at The East Hampton Library and what an evening it was! About 160 authors filled the large white tent  situated on the library grounds. The two and a half hours moved quickly as record crowds made their way up and down the aisles to meet with authors and have the books signed. Hope to see you at this event next year!

Truly the premier Literary Event of the Hamptons!

POLISH FESTIVAL RACKS UP AS A STEAMY BUT FUN-FILLED TWO DAYS

Riverhead's "Polish Town Festival" was its usual two-day extravaganza that was loaded with a multitude of vendors, as well as visitors who purchase, sampled and ate their way from booth to booth. Both days were sunny and extremely tropical in temperature, but it did not keep away the crowds.

BookWorm Publishing LLC was there to greet the crowds, and offering meet and greets from Romantic thriller author Patti Ann Bengen, as well as RWA published author Candace Gold.

The booth offered an array of essential oils and fun jewelry to buy. You could even stop at "Fresh Pets Mobile Grooming" and schedule some house cleaning for your pet, and sample The Garden of Oils' own blend of Flea and Tick Spray  for humans and dogs/horses, "T - I - C - K - L - E - S - S" as well as an extremely effective, and 100% natural tick serum to remove ticks lodged into yours or your dog's/horse's skin.

DUCK POND DAY A WASH IN WADING RIVER FOR  MAY 2009.

Spending the day in Wading River at the infamous Duck Pond is usually a pleasant and most serene experience. However, this year it was the soggiest experience, ever. The exhibitors had nothing on the ducks, unfortunately! We were amazed at the number of attendees, despite the wet weather. Patti Ann Bengen, romantic thrillers author, and Robert Banfelder, author of psychological thrillers were there. Also, sharing an umbrella with us were Romantic Writers of America's published members Candace Gold , Gina Ardito and Debora Dennis. We all joined forces to meet and greet the brave in attendance. Let's hope for the usual good weather we've seen in the past for next year's event.

The Sounds on the Sound Music Festival hosted by the Martha Clara Vineyard,(The Entenmann's Family Farm), on Sound Avenue in Jamesport, and brought to you by Diversely Delicious Foods, will be held on July 26th and 27th from 10 am to 7:30 pm. Music will start promptly at 10:30; featuring ten bands on Saturday and eleven bands on Sunday. The festival will benefit The March of Dimes, Riverhead and Shirley/Mastic Food Pantries.

Come on out and enjoy the beer, wine and food, as well as the many arts/crafts vendors. There will be a creative kids corner, sand art and raffles.

BookWorm Publishing will be featuring three local authors at the festival. Patti Ann Bengen, writer of romantic thrillers, Robert Banfelder, writer of psychological thrillers, and Frank Mundus, the well-known shark fisherman from Montauk who caught the shark that is portrayed in Peter Benchley's novel, "JAWS.". The authors will be out to meet and greet, as well as to sign copies of their books, being offered at special low festival prices. Stock up now, at these low prices, for the holiday season.

If you missed Patti Ann's interview on "Off The Cuff" on Riverhead cablevision channel 20, stayed tuned, because it will be aired again.

The author has started off the new year, 2008, with planned talks at various book clubs on Long Island.  Individual engagements will be posted.

2007 has proven to be a busy time for the author. Ms. Bengen toured the west coast earlier this year, and made appearances in San Diego, and Las Vegas, and as far south as Mexico.

In a sincere effort to make her books available for people to read, she has donated both books to every library on Long Island, NY (between Nassau and Suffolk county that is over one hundred books), all Manhattan libraries, twelve copies to libraries in the Las Vegas area and 22 copies to libraries in the East County area of San Diego.

Ms. Bengen made an appearance at the Book Expo America, held the first week of June at the Javitz Center in New York City.

In July, Ms. Bengen made an appearance at the Nesconset Library, where she met with a group of interested readers to speak about New Beginnings, and how domestic violence affects everyone.

Ms. Bengen recently addressed a book club in Wading River, NY. "It was a delightful event. Enlightening. I learn so much from my readers. These discussions are so important and truly become a moment of sharing between people."

The month of October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. Ms. Bengen toured Las Vegas and Henderson the first week of October. The author and her assistant, Laurie Milford, arrived in Las Vegas 9/29, where she will begin her quick tour of the city . She appeared on Fox 5 news on 10/2 at 7:45 am,and was interviewed by Fox news anchor, Monica Jackson. At that time, the novelist announced her schedule of events, which includes continued support of The Shade Tree Women's Shelter. This shelter will have a public dedication of an animal shelter within their facility on 10/9. The author will appear at local libraries and book stores. Upon her return home, Ms. Bengen will make an appearance at the Riverhead Country Fair, October 7th, in Riverhead, New York, at booth 84.

AND thank you to all the attendees of the Riverhead Country Fair who made a visit to booth 84, BookWorm Publishing, LLC, to introduce themselves and/or buy an autographed copy of  "New Beginnings." Ms. Bengen found time to wander the booths and meet fellow Long Island authors.

It was most unfortunate that "The Devil's Dance" did not arrive in time for the Riverhead Country Fair, but it is here now. The new novel is now in stock and available through amazon.com and many other websites on the internet. Dependent upon the release of "The Devil's Dance," Ms. Bengen will be planning a book release celebration, where trade will be invited to attend, as well as a gathering on eastern Long Island, to be announced.

Ms. Bengen is a member of NCADV and NOW, Downtown Women's Club(DWC),Long Island Women's Association(LIWA),Romantic Writers of America(RWA),East End Women's Network(EEWN), Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women, National Organization for Women (NOW East End), San Diego Writers & Editors Guild (SDWEG) The author recently joined in with the efforts of Women for Women International, where she is excited about sponsoring four women in countries around the world: Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria and Bosnia/Nerzegovina." We will be communicating and learning about each other. An extremely powerful tool and serves to bring women closer together all over the world."

PREVIOUSLY . . .

Since the release of "New Beginnings" in July, 2006, the author has been busy with many interviews. She has been involved with radio talk shows around the United States.

Ms. Bengen has recently donated the proceeds from a book signing to a womens' shelter in Las Vegas as well as a donation to the March of Dimes. As of February 2007, Ms. Bengen donated book proceeds to The Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

February 4th was SuperBowl Sunday but it was also LUNAFEST at The East Wind in Wading River where women gathered for brunch, followed by a workshop in self-defense, a series of movies and a workshop in bellydancing.
